چکیده
We develop a mesoscopic lattice Boltzmann model for liquid-vapor phase transition by handling the microscopic molecular interaction. The short-range interaction is incorporated recovering an equation of state dense gases, and long-range mimicked introducing pairwise force. Double distribution functions are employed, with density function mass momentum conservation laws innovative total kinetic energy law. recovered mesomacroscopic governing equations fully consistent theory, thermodynamic consistency naturally satisfied.

Lattice Boltzmann method for simulations of liquid-vapor thermal flows.
We present a lattice Boltzmann method that has the capability of simulating thermodynamic multiphase flows. This approach is fully thermodynamically consistent at the macroscopic level. Using this method, the liquid-vapor boiling process, including liquid-vapor formation and coalescence together with a full coupling of temperature, is simulated.
متن کاملFinite-difference lattice Boltzmann model for liquid-vapor systems
A two-dimensional finite-difference lattice Boltzmann model for liquid–vapor systems is introduced and analyzed. Two different numerical schemes are used and compared in recovering equilibrium density and velocity profiles for a planar interface. We show that flux limiter techniques can be conveniently adopted to minimize spurious numerical effects and improve the numerical accuracy of the mode...
متن کاملA lattice Boltzmann study of phase separation in liquid-vapor systems with gravity
Phase separation of a two-dimensional van derWaals fluid subject to a gravitational force is studied by numerical simulations based on lattice Boltzmannmethods (LBM) implemented with a finite difference scheme. A growth exponent α=1 is measured in the direction of the external force. PACS: 47.11.-j, 47.20.Hw, 05.70.Ln
متن کاملLattice Boltzmann method for modeling liquid-vapor interface configurations in porous media
[1] The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has emerged as a powerful tool for simulating the behavior of multiphase fluid systems in complex pore networks. Specifically, the single component multiphase LBM can simulate the interfacial phenomena of surface tension and adsorption and thus be used for modeling fluids such as water and its vapor in porous media. This paper provides an introduction to L...
متن کاملOn the Dynamics of Liquid-Vapor Phase Transition
Abstract. We consider a multidimensional model for the dynamics of liquid–vapor phase transitions. In the present context liquid and vapor are treated as different species with different volume fractions and different molecular weights. The model presented here is a prototype of a ”binary fluid mixture,” and is formulated by the Navier Stokes equations in Euler coordinates. This system takes no...
